We are thrilled to officially announce that the Call for Proposals is now open for the Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children (VAAEYC) 71st Annual Conference, taking place from March 4–6, 2027!

For over seven decades, the VAAEYC Annual Conference has stood as the premier gathering for early childhood professionals across the Commonwealth. This event serves as the ultimate hub for innovation, collaboration, and professional growth, drawing hundreds of passionate individuals dedicated to the education and well-being of young children.

Timeline for Workshop Proposals

  • Call for Proposal Opens – June 12, 2026
  • Call for Proposal Closes – September 15, 2026
  • Committee Review – September 20 – October 15, 2026
  • Notification of Acceptance – October 30, 2026

Proposal Criteria and Details

Workshops will be selected by a peer committee, based on how the proposal matches the requested criteria. Notification of acceptance will be made on a rolling basis through October 30, 2026.

VAAEYC is seeking sessions that can be approved for CEU and are offered in 60 or 90 minute time blocks.

We invite you to submit a proposal for consideration.

Please note that VAAEYC does not offer honorarium for workshops, but the lead presenter is offered complimentary conference registration and co-presenters are offered a discounted rate. Workshops are limited to two co-Presenters per session, unless prior approval is obtained.
