Why Is A Membership to my choice of NAEYC or SECA Included With My VAAEYC Membership?

VAAEYC is an affiliate organization of both NAEYC and SECA – both organizations devoted to the education of young children. To become a member of the Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children (VAAEYC), you first join through either the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) or the Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA).

You then automatically are assigned to VAAEYC if you reside in our affiliate region.

(The VAAEYC affiliate region includes all of Virginia except for Fairfax County, Loudon County, Arlington, and Alexandria. If you reside in one of these areas, you would have to select VAAEYC as a second affiliate – otherwise, your membership will default to NVAEYC.)
