The Richmond Chapter of vaaeyc is the local affiliate of the Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Members include early childhood educators, parents, and others who care about and work to promote the healthy development of young children.
The Richmond Chapter of vaaeyc provides education and resources to families, early childhood educators and the Greater Richmond community on behalf of young children. Richmond hosts training events, director networking events and Week of the Young Child events during the course of the year.

Intro to Conscious Discipline Training

In this introductory session, you will discover how Conscious Discipline differs from traditional discipline systems. You will learn the Conscious Discipline Brain State™ model, how internal state impacts external behavior and how this relates to discipline. We will briefly explore the seven powers and skills of Conscious Discipline as they relate to behavior and our interactions with one another. You will also discover the to power of a School Family™ in your classroom that contributes to a culture of caring and connection.
