New River Valley Chapter

The New River Valley Chapter ofVAAEYC recognizes the importance of fostering language development, inspiring exploration of new concepts, and facilitating the growth of social skills in our young people. Thus, we strive as a group to promote and support our early childhood education professionals in their own professional development/growth.  We find that through this support they are empowered to provide quality early childhood development, education and support to their students and families.  The New River Valley Chapter of VAAEYC also strives to advocate, through community awareness events, the importance of quality early childhood experiences and the need for living wages for our early childhood educators.  Early childhood educators provide the first step in a child becoming a healthy functioning adult who positively impacts our society. Our group believes the efforts we make locally to support both the professionals in the early childhood field and parents allows children to be prepared with the skills they need for the next developmental stage and life.
