As an affiliate of both SECA and NAEYC, you join VAAEYC by joining one of these strong national or regional associations.

How do you become a member of VAAEYC?
VAAEYC is an affiliate organization of both NAEYC and SECA – both organizations devoted to the education of young children. To become a member of the Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children (VAAEYC), you join through either the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) or the Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA).
You then automatically are assigned to VAAEYC if you reside in our region.
(The VAAEYC region includes all of Virginia except for Fairfax County, Loudon County, Arlington, and Alexandria. If you reside in one of these areas, you would have to select VAAEYC as a second affiliate – otherwise, your membership will default to the Northern Virginia affiliate – NVAEYC.)

Standard Membership ($69)

Premium Membership ($150)
NAEYC Premium membership provides unparalleled access to NAEYC’s robust suite of member benefits. Premium members receive ALL benefits at the Entry and Standard levels, plus more.
Family Membership ($35)
This is an exciting, brand NEW membership option designed for members outside of the early learning profession, including parents, family members, and early childhood advocates.
Entry Level Membership ($30)

The Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA) Since 1948 the Southern Early Childhood Association has brought together preschool, kindergarten, primary teachers & administrators, caregivers, program directors, and individuals working with & for families, to promote quality care and education for young children.
Thousands of individuals working in every aspect of child care and early childhood belong to SECA. They share ideas in local, state, & regional meetings, in professional development institutes, and through the association’s publications & resources.
Members receive many benefits, including a journal, Dimensions of Early Childhood, discounts on publications & conference registration.
